Has the lynx been lucky?
I’ll start todays post by congratulating You from the USA, Your Tim Burke won the silver medal in ski biathlon minutes ago France won the gold medal and we Swedes won the bronze
I looked out the kitchen window yesterday after giving the deers their food. I saw Tiny eating from one pile and to my surprise Doris eating from another. Lotta and the buck Rune were nowhere to see. I didn’t see any of those two the whole evening. Today Tiny came by herself and later on it looked like it was Doris that was here, it was a bit too dark to be sure. Something must have happened and I’m afraid that the lynx might have been successful yesterday night.
I got two letters filled with different seeds this week, lots of perennials and 111 magnolia seeds (Magnolia seboldii). A friend of mine started a Facebook page where anything is auctioned and all the money goes to a dog rescue center in Thailand. The good thing with this center is that they neuter street dogs and none of the rescued dogs are exported outside the country, that is something I really like, we’ve gotten some nasty diseases here in Sweden because corrupt vets has signed documents that the dogs coming here is 100% healthy without even seeing the dog even once.
My friend travels to Thailand every year and it’s the winner of the auction that puts the money in to the dog rescues account. So we all know that the money goes where it’s expected to. Of course we all want the things we bid on but since we want the rescue centre to get lots of money we do bid a bit higher than we usually would on the things we want But I have to say that 111 magnolia seeds would be much more expensive if I bought them from a seeds firm
The fire is burning in the stove and I’m just about to make some rosehip soup. After that I think I’ll go to bed, I’ve been tired from the moment I woke up today
