Up way to early.
We went back to normal time, or winter time as we tend to call it here, today and I don’t like it. I always have big problems adjusting to these changes we do every spring and autumn. Just as I have gotten in to it we’ll change back to normal again. So I wasn’t especially happy when I woke up at 4 am and let the dogs out, I just couldn’t go back to sleep after opening the door and letting -9 C (15,8 F ) cold air hit me 🙂
I started a fire in the stove and tried to read some blogs and even wrote my blog in swedish but time just didn’t want to move at all 🙂 I read that they had tsunami warnings on Hawaii but it doesn’t look like the waves were too bad thankfully. There were no news about Sandy though, when is she due to hit the east coast?
We went out as soon as there was enough with daylight and walked down to the creek. There’s no risk of walking in to any hunting at that hour in this village, they didn’t arrive until we already had come home again 🙂 It was absolutely quiet outside, no animals were walking around in that cold but I did hear a couple of trumpet swans flying towards the smaller lake. There’s no traffic on any road at that hour on a Sunday morning either.
I had hoped for the sun to rise when we reached the creek but we got there perhaps ten minutes to early for that, dogs really don’t want to just stop without any reason, ar least not to wait for the sunrise 🙂 I have to say that it was a really pleasant walk despite the low temperatures, it would have been nasty if even the weakest breeze would have blown.
I watched Disney Time when we came home, something I do every Saturday and Sunday mornings 🙂 They are showing Phineas and Ferb and I think that is the best thing Disney have created since I was a kid! We swedes have a special relationship with Disney, every year since over 50 years we have a Christmas tradition here, Every Christmas eve at 3 pm we watch Donald Duck and his friends celebrate Christmas 🙂 It’s almost the same films they’ve shown all these years and every time they try to change one to a newer we get furious 🙂 🙂 🙂
One year they decided not to show Ferdinand the friendly bull and they regretted it as soon as they told us that. People refused to pay the TV-license (something all European countries have to finance public service tv), even a bomb threat or two was mentioned 🙂 🙂 🙂 So they had to show Ferdinand after the Disney program 🙂 🙂 🙂 They do however put in a short episode of any new animated Disney movie for the year.
Even though very few says they’ll watch this program it still is one of the most popular programs every year, over three million people watch it and that’s not bad since we only are nine million people in this country 🙂 Christmas presents are usually given before the show and the food right after. Most of us would be very confused if we didn’t have our Disney friends to watch every year, we wouldn’t know when to eat or getting presents 🙂
Have a great day!
