They have put up new fence poles. The old horse pasture will now become the new cow pasture.
Orvar, Hector and their two sisters were born today ten years ago and Hector celebrated that by making sure the forest owners son-in-law fell of his bike while he tried to pass with his dog on the other side of his bike. I had all but Hector leashed because he has always done as I’ve told him. They had already passed us when I lost my grip on Hector and he ran after them. The bikers dog naturally stopped because Hector happy as few came running behind them and that sort of made the biker fall off.
Not a good thing to do so from now on all dogs will be leashed when I know there’s a risk we’ll meet anyone. I could see the biker wasn’t happy at all but he only grunted something when I apologized. I’m pretty glad he didn’t shout at me because he had all right to do so to be honest. I have always been able to have my dogs walking leash free because they have always done what I’ve told them but if they stop doing that I really need to leash them but since I’m the only one up before the sun I still feel free to have them walking around before the rest of the village wakes up. After all they never hunt, well Nova does but she is leashed all the time too.
We’ll start working the new hours already on Monday so I better change the alarm clock already today. I’ll most likely wake up the normal time anyway but we can always take a longer walk as soon as the sun shows itself. The earths angle towards the sun has changed enough to make the light come later again, during summer it’s light hours before and after the sun has gone up and went back down again, not so any longer.
So this was a fun birthday for the old boy, first being yelled at and then being leashed on our walks from now on. Well they have gotten some treats and will get some more later on. It’s time to make a pot of tea and I’ll have a bowl with vanilla yoghurt, sliced apples and some cinnamon.
