Ten years today.

They have put up new fence poles. The old horse pasture will now become the new cow pasture.

Orvar, Hector and their two sisters were born today ten years ago and Hector celebrated that by making sure the forest owners son-in-law fell of his bike while he tried to pass with his dog on the other side of his bike. I had all but Hector leashed because he has always done as I’ve told him. They had already passed us when I lost my grip on Hector and he ran after them. The bikers dog naturally stopped because Hector happy as few came running behind them and that sort of made the biker fall off.

Not a good thing to do so from now on all dogs will be leashed when I know there’s a risk we’ll meet anyone. I could see the biker wasn’t happy at all but he only grunted something when I apologized. I’m pretty glad he didn’t shout at me because he had all right to do so to be honest. I have always been able to have my dogs walking leash free because they have always done what I’ve told them but if they stop doing that I really need to leash them but since I’m the only one up before the sun I still feel free to have them walking around before the rest of the village wakes up. After all they never hunt, well Nova does but she is leashed all the time too.

We’ll start working the new hours already on Monday so I better change the alarm clock already today. I’ll most likely wake up the normal time anyway but we can always take a longer walk as soon as the sun shows itself. The earths angle towards the sun has changed enough to make the light come later again, during summer it’s light hours before and after the sun has gone up and went back down again, not so any longer.

So this was a fun birthday for the old boy, first being yelled at and then being leashed on our walks from now on. Well they have gotten some treats and will get some more later on. It’s time to make a pot of tea and I’ll have a bowl with vanilla yoghurt, sliced apples and some cinnamon.

    • Hi Laurie!

It’s so typical, why couldn’t he just stay when I told him to. Well there’s no use in being angry so he got a few treats now 🙂

I do like light and shadow photos.

      Have a great day!

  1. It seems like Hector has decided to be a puppy again! 😀
Happy Birthday to your old boys!
My Blue will be 8 this November and it seems like those years flew by.
(although the days many times just drag. 😀 )

That second to last photo, is that your greenhouse made of windows? 😀 😀 😀
    just kidding.
I too have many things to build and not enough time or else energy to do so.
Good luck next week with your new schedule!
    🙂 – Cindi

    • Hi Cindi!

Yes I think he too is going backwards now 🙂 Well as long as he’s happy I’m happy 🙂

Yes time really has flown away! Each and every day can be as long as a year sometimes 🙂

I wish it was but mine will be more beautiful, once I start building it 🙂 🙂 🙂

Next week will be fine, I just need to remember that I start work later 🙂

      Have a great day!

  2. a big happy birthday to the boys. teddy is 8 now and it sure is hard to believe. are you going to build your greenhouse this year? i really notice the changes in daylight. it is dark when i go to bed and when i get up. i love it. i should live in a cave!

    • Hi Joyce!

Yes where did the time go?

I was hoping I at least would start now this autumn, I knw what I need to buy so all I have to do is to actually buy it too 🙂

It changes so fast up here, now it’s almost dark at 9pm and just a few weeks ago it was daylight almost all day around 🙂
Well, just a few months until it turns again 🙂

      Have a great day!

  4. Hi Christer,
Happy birthday to Orvar and Hector. Too bad Hector over celebrated. Ah, well, sometimes we all do that.

In a few days, it will be 4 years since Rocky came to live here. Hard to believe. The time does pass quickly even though it doesn’t seem like it while you’re living through the actual days. It’s only when you stop to count how many have gone by that it becomes apparent.

It’s breezy, sunny and cool here today. The lawn people came, saw that the lawn hadn’t grown since they last cut it so they left again. It’s been very dry.

Enjoy the evening. Hope you don’t have to work on Saturday this week.

    • Hi Caryn!

      They thank You 🙂

The only time he really had to behave and then he does something like that 🙂

You’re so right! Each and every day can feel like an eternity 🙂 still time just flies by 🙂

I haven’t mowed the lawn in almost two and a half weeks now, I like this draught 🙂

No more over time, the new hours is supposed to stop that since we weill keep the production going two hours more every day but we still just work our 40 hour week. We really only should work something like 38,6 hours every week but those extra hours is saved in a time bank and we can use them whenever we want to.

      Have a great day!

  5. Christer, glad Hector got birthday treats even if starting the day awkwardly well at least for that bike rider. Yes, the honey and cinnamon is ,y favorite. I also like peanut butter with honey on top instead of a jelly. Wishing you all a great weekend before starting your new hours.

    • Hi Beatrice!

Well, he may have acted stupid but of course he should have lots of treats on his birthday 🙂

Peanut butter isn’t popular here and most of us don’t even like to hear the combination peanut butter and jelly 🙂 🙂 🙂 I wonder why peanut butter is so impopular here, we all love peanuts!

The last wekk with summer temperatures and I will enjoy every second of it 🙂

      Have a great day!
