It’s still better than snow.

It’s a grey and dismal day here but at least there’s no storm blowing, next storm will pass already early next week. The rain comes and goes but it’s mostly drizzle so it could be worse to be honest. But I’m planning to stay indoors most parts of the day and only go outside when the dogs wants to take a walk. I had planned to walk the road upstream towards the bog and little lake but I’m pretty sure the ground is a bit too soft after all that snow melted away.

I ordered my first seeds from Gardens North this morning. It’s the seed firm number one for us living is the growing zones 4-1 (American zones). The firm has high quality on all its seeds and I have never been disappointed when buying from GN. It’s Christmastime so I don’t expect any seeds to arrive before Christmas, in fact I think it¨’s best if they are sent to me after the holidays. I know from experience that lots of mail vanish on its way over the ocean this time of year.

Wild hogs had worked on the road during the night and Bertil was anything but pleased when we continued to walk towards the bog.

I really should be cleaning up this little cottage of mine but I just don’t have the energy, I’m blaming the dismal weather this time 🙂 But I have only one more working week this year and will have two weeks vacation during Christmas and New Year. I’ll start working again on January seventh.

Lots of activity outside even if the weather is rather dull today. One neighbor is cutting down a few trees, mostly birch for fire logs and he has plenty of friends with him as help it seems. I can hear hammer blows too so I guess another neighbor is outside working on his garage. He made it for two small tractors but it’s so big that I think he can place a small aeroplane in it 🙂

It’s time for a pot of tea and then I think I’ll watch a dvd or two. I have plenty I haven’t seen yet and since the weather will be much the same tomorrow as it is today I’ll most likely see some then too 🙂

Here it is, my Yule tree. I still haven’t found a long enough extension cord so no lights yet. The boomerang in the background will be removed and I’ll have some decorating to do around the pot because that’s just ugly even if it stands in an old antique potty 🙂 I’ll show You how it looks when all that is done.
