It’s green everywhere.

I have nothing much to tell today, it has been a rather cold day with lots of rain, that much that I won’t need to fill my pond for quite some time, it is over flowing now ๐Ÿ™‚ But the afternoonย  and our walk have been rather nice with some sunshine and an absent wind ๐Ÿ™‚ I had given up hope when it came to that wind, it seemed to have stopped here for good ๐Ÿ™‚

The super heat will arrive now they say but it isn’t much super to be honest, not even heat to be even more honest. It will be warm and nice days from what I can see on the predictions, just like they usually are this time of year. No need for more fires in the stove any more, unless it starts raining a lot like it also usually do here during summer.

I have been picking ticks from my dogs now, not many to be honest but still. I have picked some from me too but they haven’t bit me yet, these were walking around on my arms which is nasty enough. It always feels like I have plenty more on me after I’ve had one ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

The big shebang, the Eurovision Song Contest starts today. The first of two semifinals starts at 9 pm tonight and I think the second one is on Thursday. I’m not that big a fan of this so I’ll just see the final on Saturday, we are directly in to the finale since we won last year. This year seems to be a really bad year, most sounds just awful ๐Ÿ™‚ The odds says that Denmark will win and Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands will follow shortly after. I guess these are the only countries that actually can afford to have the final next year.

It’s time to make a pot of tea and a couple of sandwiches. The Koi’s seems to live because I still can’t see them floating around on their backs in the pond ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. hi christer! i hate ticks! it sure looks like spring has found you! i guess it is about time. we are about to get your superheat and i am not happy! at least things should grow with the hot weather. i am growing tomatillas and okra and they love heat. we are still low on rain though. enjoy your weather! joyce

    • Hi Joyce!

Yes they are truly nasty and just spreads lots of diseases!

So thats where our super heat is! I did wonder ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ But I’m sort of glad it stays cooler then they predicted, it gets so hot at work days like that.
      Have a great day!
      Christer.

  2. Hi Christer,
I hope your Koi didn’t float away over the edge of the overfilled pond. ๐Ÿ™‚

Everything is many shades of green over here, too. It’s cool and sunny. I saw some spits of rain on my windscreen as I was driving around this afternoon but it hasn’t decided to rain.

Rocky and I went to the lake again today. No swans around to awaken with my yelling. ๐Ÿ™‚ Not much of any birds on the lake today. I saw 4 of the swans but the other 2 were no where. They didn’t like the four anyway and only hung around with them at night. They may have moved over to the pond in the next town as that is a fancier address to have. ๐Ÿ™‚
I did see a tiny turtle sunning itself on some mud and a couple of huge fish that jumped out of the water to eat something. The lakeside is very heavily used by walkers and joggers. It never ceases to amaze me how much wildlife lives there that people just pass right by.

Hope your super heat is comfortable. Enjoy the evening.

    • Hi Caryn!

Who knows ๐Ÿ™‚ they might be out on the field somewhere ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

Today is warm but very windy, it was hard to stand still while taking photos ๐Ÿ™‚
Sometimes i wish they had’t lowered the lake here, the two we have nearby is either too hard to reach or beside a very trafficed road. If thr lake had been here still I might have seen a turtle too, they don’t live here natyrally but people tend to toss them out when they get too big. They survive here but the summer is too shoeยดrt and cool for eggs to hatch.

Most people are blind in their own neighborhood ๐Ÿ™‚ They can only see nature on tv ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

      Have a great day!
      Christer.

    • Hi Jim!

It does but it makes it harder to go to work in the morning ๐Ÿ™‚ I want to stay at home and enjoy the time when everything strts again ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes this year they were really kind, normally they eat everything ๐Ÿ™‚ I guess the food I gave them helped ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

      Have a great day!
      Christer.
